Back by popular demand, Martin Luther McCoy returns to close out the Apollo Music Café 2015/16 season with selections from his latest project, Love is the Hero, Volume 2. This performance will feature MOON MEDICIN, a multimedia concept band performing original compositions interspersed with re-imagined covers. The collective performs against a backdrop of curated sound effects and images of sci-fi, punk, sacred geometry, coded symbology, film noir, minstrels, world politics, and ceremonial dance. Renowned visual artist Sanford Biggers is the creative director joined by a rotating cast of musicians, designers, and performance artists.

This event is a part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival and is curated by Jill Newman Productions.
